- Dolphin Roundabout (next to Terminal 21)
- Jomtien beachfront (more relaxed atmosphere)
- Start/finish at Terminal 21 (best overall spot but will be crowded)
Road Closures & Traffic Impact
This is one of the biggest traffic-disrupting events in Pattaya.
Expect significant road closures and disruption from around 3:00am to 10:00am, especially on:
- Pattaya Beach Road
- Pattaya Second Road
- Thappraya Road
- Routes between Pattaya and Jomtien
- Sections of Sukhumvit Road
If you’re staying in Pattaya on marathon weekend, plan your transport in advance – especially Sunday morning.

- Registration typically opens a few months before the event
- Closing date: 12 July 2026 (expected)
- Online registration via the official event website
At the time of writing, full 2026 registration details are still being released.
Runners Bib Collection & Expo
Bib pickup usually takes place at Terminal 21 Pattaya in the days before the race. Expect:
- Race pack collection (bib and shirt)

- Brand booths and sponsors
If you’re running, try not to leave this until the last minute.
Tips for Runners
- Start hydration early – humidity is high
- Expect warm conditions even before sunrise
- Pace yourself on Sukhumvit (it can be a mentally tough section)
- Book accommodation close to the start line if possible
Is the Pattaya Marathon Worth It?
If you’re looking for a scenic, well-organised race in Thailand, this is one of the better options.
It’s not the easiest marathon – but the combination of coastal views, early starts, and lively atmosphere makes it a memorable experience.
