    42.195km Marathon Course

The Pattaya Marathon 2026 starts and finishes outside Terminal 21 Pattaya on North Pattaya Road.

After leaving the start area, runners head south along Pattaya Beach Road, passing Central Pattaya Beach before turning inland near Bali Hai Pier.

The course then climbs Thappraya Road before joining Jomtien Second Road and continuing through much of the Jomtien area. After reaching the northern end of Jomtien Beach, runners turn back towards central Pattaya before heading west along Sukhumvit Road.

After reaching Sukhumvit Road, runners complete an out-and-back section before returning towards Jomtien. This long straight stretch provides one of the fastest parts of the course and allows runners to settle into a consistent pace.

The route then heads back through the Jomtien and Thappraya areas before returning to Pattaya Beach Road for the final kilometres. The race finishes outside Terminal 21 Pattaya, where runners complete the full 42.195 km marathon.

The course combines long, fast straights with scenic coastal sections along both Pattaya Beach and Jomtien Beach, offering a mix of city and seaside running.

Although the route is relatively fast, runners should be prepared for:

    • warm, humid conditions even before sunrise
    • some gently rolling sections rather than a completely flat course

The finish area offers the liveliest atmosphere but also attracts the largest crowds.

    Previous years have included:

    • race pack collection

Full collection details will be announced by the organisers before race weekend.

    Tips for Runners

    • Register early once entries open.
    • Book accommodation near North Pattaya or Terminal 21 if possible.

    • Expect warm and humid conditions even before sunrise.
    • Pace yourself through the longer Sukhumvit section.

    Is Pattaya Marathon Worth It?

  • EEC Food Runway Pattaya 2026: What to Expect from This Beachfront Food & Night Festival

EEC Food Runway Pattaya 2026: What to Expect from This Beachfront Food & Night Festival

If you’re in Pattaya in early May 2026, you may come across something called the EEC Food Runway stretching along the beachfront.

At first glance, it sounds like a mix of food festival, fashion show, and nightlife event – and that’s basically what it is. But the official descriptions don’t tell you much about what it will actually feel like on the ground. Here’s a practical breakdown of what to expect.

EEC Food Runway Pattaya 2026 Event Overview

    • Dates: 1 – 4 May 2026
    • Location: Along Pattaya Beach Road (starting near Hard Rock Hotel / Soi 6 area and extending along the beachfront)
    • Theme: “From Local Cuisine to Modern Culinary Fashion”
    • Focus: Food, live music, cultural showcases, and a runway-style competition

The event is part of a wider “EEC Colors” initiative promoting tourism and local culture across Thailand’s eastern provinces: Chonburi, Rayong, and Chachoengsao.

What This Event Actually Is (In Real Terms)

Strip away the buzzwords, and this is best understood as: a large-scale beachfront food festival with live music and themed showcases

    Expect:

    • Long rows of food stalls and local vendors
    • Open-air setup (hot during the day, better at night)
    • A mix of Thai visitors and tourists
    • Live performances and staged events in the evenings

It’s not a high-end or fine dining event, it’s going to be much closer to a night market atmosphere, just on a bigger, more organised scale.

    Food & Vendors

Organisers mention 120+ vendors, mainly focused on Eastern Thailand. That likely means:

    • Regional Thai dishes (especially seafood and local specialties)
    • Street food-style cooking
    • Community products and local brands

If you’ve been to Thai night markets before, the setup will feel familiar, just with more emphasis on regional identity.

    The “Food Runway” & Contest

One of the more unusual elements is the EEC Food Runway Contest (scheduled for May 1).

Details are limited, but based on similar events in Thailand, this will probably involve:

    • Food presented in creative or stylised ways
    • Performances or themed showcases around cuisine
    • A mix of entertainment and competition rather than serious fashion

In other words, don’t expect Paris Fashion Week – think creative, slightly quirky, and very Thai in execution.

EEC Food Runway Pattaya 2026 Live Music Lineup

All performers are Thai artists, which is a strong sign this event is aimed as much at locals as tourists.

    Confirmed lineup:

    • May 1: YOURMOOD
    • May 2: HERS
    • May 3: Kantong Thungngern
    • May 4: Pla Nin Tem Ban

This gives each night a bit of a different feel, with evenings likely being the busiest and most atmospheric time to visit.

What the Crowd Will Be Like

This is an important point, and one a lot of event listings miss. Because:

    • Promotion is largely in Thai
    • Performers are Thai
    • It’s government-backed

So expect a strong local turnout, especially in the evenings. This usually usually means:

    • A better atmosphere
    • More authentic food
    • Less of a “tourist-only” feel

    But it also means:

    • It may get crowded
    • Less English signage than typical tourist events

    Best Time to Go

If you’re planning to check it out: consider going in the evening (recommended)–

    • Cooler weather
    • Live music and performances
    • More atmosphere

    Avoid midday if possible:

    • Very hot
    • Less happening beyond food stalls

    Is It Worth Going?

    It’s worth checking out if:

    • You’re already in Pattaya during those dates
    • You enjoy food markets and casual events
    • You want something different from bars and clubs

Probably not worth planning a trip around if:

    • You’re expecting a premium food festival
    • You prefer structured or high-end events

    Why This Event Exists

The EEC Food Runway isn’t just a random festival, it’s part of a broader push to:

    • Promote Eastern Thailand tourism
    • Showcase regional food and culture
    • Boost local economies

So while it’s marketed with big concepts like “culinary fashion,” the real goal is simple: Get people out, eating, and spending along the beachfront

EEC Food Runway Pattaya 2026 – Final Thoughts

The Food Runway 2026 looks like one of those events that won’t be life-changing, but could be a fun, easy addition to a night out in Pattaya.

    If you treat it like:

    • A beachfront night market
    • With live music and a bit of creative flair

    …you’ll probably enjoy it.

  • Thailand Extreme Fest 2026 Pattaya on This Weekend (April 24–26)

Thailand Extreme Fest 2026 Pattaya on This Weekend (April 24–26)

Pattaya is hosting a major national extreme sports event this weekend, as Thailand Extreme Fest 2026 takes place from April 24 to 26 across multiple locations in the city.

The event brings together hundreds of athletes from across Thailand to compete in skateboarding, BMX, wakeboarding, and other high-energy disciplines. While it’s primarily a national championship, it’s also an easy, free spectator event if you’re in Pattaya this weekend and looking for something different to check out.

    What Is Thailand Extreme Fest?

Thailand Extreme Fest is a national-level competition organised in partnership with the Thailand Extreme Sports Association, aimed at developing local athletes and promoting extreme sports across the country.

Around 300 to 400 competitors are expected to take part, competing for ranking points and potential selection pathways towards international events, including future Olympic qualification.

Beyond the competition side, the event is also designed to promote Pattaya as a sports and events destination, not just a party and nightlife city.

    Event Dates

    • April 24-26, 2026
    • Events run throughout the day across different venues

    Where It’s Happening

Competitions are spread across several well-known locations in Pattaya:

    • Central Pattaya – street-style events including BMX, skateboarding, inline and roller freestyle
    • Thai Wake Park Pattaya – wakeboard and wakeskate competitions
    • Pratumnak Hill – downhill skateboarding

Some earlier announcements also referenced park areas in Naklua and around Khao Phra Yai, reinforcing that this is a city-wide event rather than something confined to a single venue.

    What Sports Are Included?

    The competition covers seven disciplines:

    • Skateboarding
    • BMX
    • Inline freestyle
    • Roller freestyle
    • Wakeboard
    • Wakeskate
    • Downhill skateboarding

This mix gives the event a bit more variety than a typical skate competition, with both street-style and water-based events included.

What to Expect at Thailand Extreme Fest 2026 Pattaya

If you’re planning to stop by, expect a casual, open atmosphere rather than a heavily structured spectator event.

At locations like Central Pattaya, you’ll likely see:

    • Temporary ramps and setups
    • Ongoing competitions throughout the day
    • Local crowds and visiting athletes

The wake park events offer something a bit different, with cable wakeboarding competitions running separately from the street disciplines.

Thailand Extreme Fest Pattaya 2026 Afterparty

There’s also a free live afterparty concert scheduled on Sunday night at 9pm, adding a bit more of a festival feel to the final day. The afterparty will feature music from ApeFredda, YungTarr and Quintin.

    Is It Worth Going?

If you’re already in Pattaya this weekend, it’s an easy yes.

You don’t need tickets, there’s no real commitment, and you can drop in for 20 or 30 minutes while passing through areas like Central Pattaya.

It’s not a major international event, but it’s a good example of the kind of city-wide activities Pattaya is starting to host more regularly – especially outside of its usual nightlife focus.
