Hypnotic Disco Club
Hypnotic opened on LK Metro in June 2025, occupying the space formerly known as As Friends Bar. It's one of the more ambitious new openings in the area — built around a dual format that runs as a sports bar from 10am before shifting into disco mode from 10pm through to 4am.

The centrepiece of the interior is a large LED video wall that dominates the back of the venue. During the daytime hours it's likely used for sports; after dark it runs immersive AI-style visuals that give the space a look and feel more in line with a Bangkok club than the typical LK Metro bar. Combined with floor lighting effects, the fit-out is noticeably more invested-in than most of its neighbours on the soi.

The nighttime format features DJs and (sometimes) MCs — the soft-opening lineup included three Thai DJs and two MCs, with headliner DJ Ava. Music is a mix of Thai pop and hip hop, with commercial dance music also likely.

Hypnotic is the closest thing to a nightclub on LK Metro, which has historically been short on that kind of venue. It's not trying to be Republic or 808 Club — the scale is different as will likely be the crowd - but for visitors based around Soi Buakhao or Soi Diana who want something with more energy than a beer bar without the full Walking Street commitment, it's worth knowing about.

The level of investment is real, and the grand opening is scheduled for 16th June. As a recent opening, it remains to be seen how the concept will evolve over time, but the combination of sports viewing, music and nightlife makes Hypnotic one of the more interesting new arrivals in LK Metro.

Hours: 10am until late (disco from 10pm to 4am) - but being a new venue it could change, so keep an eye on their Facebook page.
