Sina vs SOAR – Pattaya’s Two Floating Beach Clubs Compared

(Illustrative image based on available imagery and promotional material. SOAR Ocean Club is not yet open and the finished venue may differ.)

Pattaya is about to have two floating beach clubs.

Sina Beach Club is already operating offshore from Bali Hai Pier, while the new SOAR Ocean Club is currently being fitted out near Ban Amphur and Bang Saray ahead of its planned November 2026 opening.

If you’ve seen the recent drone footage of SOAR, you may have wondered how it compares with Sina — and whether the two venues are actually offering the same experience.

They are both floating clubs on the water, but there are some fairly significant differences.

Sina Beach Club: The one you can visit now

Sina is anchored offshore from Bali Hai Pier in central Pattaya and is already operating [Read our original guide to Sina Beach Club]

The venue has three floating decks, a 24-metre infinity pool, beds, cabanas and lounges, with the club moving from a more relaxed daytime atmosphere into music and sunset sessions later in the day.

Getting there is relatively straightforward. You check in at Bali Hai Pier and take Sina’s complimentary shuttle boat out to the club. The last boat from Sina currently departs at 7pm, although the venue itself operates until 9:30pm.

Sina also offers day passes as well as reserved beds, lounges and larger private spaces. Its current website lists a general admission day pass at ฿3,500, including ฿2,000 of food and beverage credit.

The club remains anchored rather than cruising, so you’re going to Sina to spend time on the floating venue rather than taking a sightseeing cruise around Pattaya Bay.

SOAR Ocean Club: The new arrival

SOAR is considerably farther south, offshore near Ban Amphur and Bang Saray [Read our original SOAR Ocean Club article].

The venue arrived at its new location on September 12 after travelling from Bangkok in what the project calls The First Glide. It left Bangkok on September 11, travelled down the Chao Phraya River and then continued along Thailand’s eastern seaboard.

The purpose-built floating venue covers 1,730 square metres and is designed in the shape of a manta ray, with capacity for more than 600 guests.

SOAR describes the concept as “Playfully Luxurious”, combining design, dining, music and hospitality with a day-to-night experience on the water.

The club is currently planned to open in November 2026.

Once operational, guests are expected to check in at Ocean Marina and take a short speedboat transfer to SOAR. That makes the journey part of the experience, but it also means SOAR is less of a spontaneous hop-on-from-central-Pattaya proposition than Sina.

    So what’s the actual difference?

The simplest way to look at it is that Sina is already an operating floating beach club in central Pattaya, while SOAR is being developed as a larger destination-style ocean club farther down the coast.

Location is probably the biggest practical difference.

Sina is convenient if you’re staying around central Pattaya or spending time around Walking Street and Bali Hai. You get to the pier and then take the shuttle boat.

SOAR will involve travelling south to Ocean Marina before transferring offshore. The venue itself is also substantially larger, with more than 600 guests planned across its 1,730-square-metre floating platform.

There is also a difference in the way the two venues are being presented.

Sina is already selling day passes, beds and private spaces, with regular music programming and sunset sessions.

SOAR is still in its final preparation phase, so there is much less information available about pricing, reservations, opening hours and exactly how the guest experience will work.

That will change as the November opening approaches.

    What about the pool?

Sina has a confirmed 24-metre infinity pool overlooking the Gulf.

SOAR’s promotional material and renders show pool areas on the floating platform, but detailed information about the pools has not yet been released. We’d rather leave that as “to be confirmed” than assume that everything visible in promotional imagery will necessarily be available exactly as shown.

Can you take your own boat or jet ski to SOAR?

This is one of the questions we’ve already been asked since SOAR arrived off the coast.

    We don’t know yet.

SOAR has announced that guests will travel from Ocean Marina by speedboat, but it has not yet published rules covering privately operated boats or jet skis approaching the venue.

For now, we’d expect guests to use the organised transfer service. We’ll update this page if SOAR announces that private vessels can approach or dock at the club.

Is SOAR the same as Sina Beach Club?

    No.

They’re both floating beach clubs in the Pattaya area, but they’re separate venues in different locations.

Sina is already open off Bali Hai Pier, while SOAR is a new 1,730-square-metre floating ocean club being prepared offshore near Ban Amphur and Bang Saray.

If you’re looking for something you can visit now, Sina is the option. If you’re interested in the new venue that’s currently generating plenty of attention on social media, that’s SOAR.

When does SOAR Ocean Club open?

SOAR is currently planned to open in November 2026.

A specific public opening date, pricing and reservation details have not yet been announced.

We’ll update this page when they are.

    Can you visit SOAR yet?

    Not yet.

The floating venue is now in position offshore and final preparation work is underway, but it has not opened to the public.

For now, the best view is from the coast — or from the increasingly large number of drone videos and photographs appearing online.

    What about Yona Beach Club?

If you’ve heard of Yona Beach Club in Phuket, you may recognise the idea.

Yona is another prominent floating beach club in Thailand and is an obvious comparison because of the floating format.

For visitors in Pattaya, however, Sina is the more direct comparison because it’s already operating in the same city.

SOAR is also a substantially different project in terms of its location, size and planned guest capacity.

    The bottom line for now

There isn’t really a “winner” to pick yet — especially when one of the two venues hasn’t opened.

Sina is the established option: central location, straightforward shuttle access from Bali Hai, a 24-metre pool, day passes and a venue you can actually visit today.

SOAR is the new arrival: larger, farther south, manta-ray-shaped and still being prepared for its planned November opening.

And that’s probably why SOAR has generated so much curiosity.

For now, there are still plenty of unanswered questions — including prices, reservations, exact opening date and what you’ll actually be able to do once you arrive.

We’ll update this comparison as SOAR releases more information.

SOAR Ocean Club Pattaya: New Floating Beach Club Coming Soon

(Image: AI-generated illustration based on SOAR Ocean Club’s announced concept and promotional imagery. The venue is currently under construction and the finished appearance may differ.)

Something rather unusual is taking shape off the Pattaya coast.

SOAR Ocean Club, a new floating ocean club built in the shape of a manta ray, has now arrived in the waters near Ban Amphur and Bang Saray after making the journey down from Bangkok.

The 1,730-square-metre floating venue is currently being prepared for its planned opening in November 2026.

A Floating Ocean Club Near Pattaya

SOAR describes itself as a new type of ocean club, combining design, dining, music and hospitality on the water.

The venue has been purpose-built in the distinctive shape of a manta ray and is designed to accommodate more than 600 guests.

Its concept is described as “Playfully Luxurious”, with a focus on a more relaxed take on premium hospitality rather than a traditional formal luxury setting.

The club is intended to operate from daytime through into the evening, with food, drinks, music and the surrounding sea forming the main part of the experience.

SOAR’s own description also talks about DJs, sunset sessions and a Mediterranean-meets-Thai design aesthetic.

    SOAR Has Arrived

The floating club completed what SOAR calls “The First Glide” in September.

It departed Bangkok on the evening of September 11, travelling down the Chao Phraya River before continuing along Thailand’s eastern seaboard. It arrived off the coast near Ban Amphur and Bang Saray on September 12, where final preparations are now taking place.

Once operational, visitors are expected to travel to SOAR by speedboat from Ocean Marina, making the journey to the floating club part of the experience.

The project is being overseen by Paul Dibbayawan, CEO and Owner Representative of SOAR Ocean Club, who says the focus is now on completing the final preparations before the first guests arrive in November.

A First Look Inside SOAR Ocean Club

Recent behind-the-scenes footage from inside the venue gives a better idea of what is taking shape.

The main structure is already substantially built, with large open-air areas beneath a sweeping roof, multiple levels and a series of curved bar and service areas. The venue also has extensive lighting and event infrastructure already being installed, including overhead lighting rigs and what appears to be a dedicated performance area.

Much of the interior is still covered in protective sheeting and parts of the fit-out are clearly unfinished, but the scale of the finished venue is beginning to become apparent. The open design also gives guests views directly out across the sea, rather than the enclosed feel of a conventional nightclub or restaurant.

The footage suggests that SOAR is being built as a full-scale entertainment and hospitality venue, rather than simply a floating restaurant with a few DJ nights.

    What to Expect

There is still quite a lot that SOAR hasn’t announced yet, so we’re not going to pretend we know exactly what a visit will look like.

What has been confirmed is a sizeable floating venue combining:

    • On-water dining and drinks
    • Music and DJ programming
    • Day-to-night entertainment
    • Premium hospitality
    • A large open-water setting
    • Speedboat transfers from Ocean Marina

We’ve also heard unofficially that SOAR may operate from around 11am until 1am, and that private boats are expected to be allowed to access the venue once it is up and running. These details have not yet been officially confirmed.

SOAR says further details about the venue will be announced as the opening gets closer.

This isn’t the first floating venue to arrive in Pattaya. Sina Beach Club, which opened earlier this year off Bali Hai Pier, has already brought the floating beach-club concept to Pattaya. SOAR will take the idea further south, with a substantially larger venue and a somewhat different focus.

The operation behind SOAR appears to be substantial. Recruitment material indicates that the guest experience will involve a land-based reception, transfer vessels and the floating venue itself, with a large multidisciplinary team covering hospitality, marine operations, entertainment and guest services. The club is also being designed around cashless and contactless payments, reservations and RFID technology.

A Closer Look at SOAR – New Drone Footage

New drone footage by kellymon1 on Instagram gives a much better idea of what the finished venue will look like. The footage shows extensive outdoor decks surrounding the main structure, multiple levels and what appear to be several pools, including two smaller oval pools at the front and a larger central pool. Daybeds and outdoor seating can also be seen around the venue.

From above, the manta-ray-inspired design is particularly clear — and the scale of the floating venue is easier to appreciate than it is in the promotional renders.

For now, the most interesting part is seeing the thing actually taking shape. With the main structure already in place and the interior fit-out underway, SOAR is starting to look considerably more substantial than a typical floating beach club.

    What’s New in Pattaya – September 2026

    Last updated: September 26, 2026

September has been a relatively quiet month in Pattaya, particularly for nightlife, with local bar and venue owners talking about a difficult low season.

But quiet doesn’t mean nothing is happening.

There have still been new openings, new venues getting ready to launch and other changes worth knowing about – from Walking Street and Soi 7 to restaurants and venues elsewhere around the city.

Here’s what’s new in Pattaya this month.

The Party opens on Walking Street

One of the more ambitious new nightlife venues in Pattaya has now opened on Soi 15, Walking Street.

The Party began its soft launch in earlier this month and has been promoting itself on social media, with a three-level concept that includes a go-go bar, karaoke rooms and a rooftop swimming pool.

The venue is a sizeable addition to Soi 15 and certainly isn’t trying to be just another small Walking Street venue.

It’s worth keeping an eye on as all three levels become fully operational.

    Mirage 555 is now open

If you’ve been following our earlier post about Mirage 555 Agogo, the wait is over.

The new venue opened on Walking Street in September, taking over the former Skyfall site.

The interior retains some of the feel of the previous venue but has been given a substantial makeover, including new lighting and LED features.

So, another familiar Walking Street location has a new name and a new operator.

Sexy Dolls brings an Asian-style club to Walking Street

Another new addition to Walking Street is Sexy Dolls Nightclub Pattaya.

The venue describes itself as an Asian Club Style venue featuring Asian music, live DJs, dancers and nightlife.

Its social media presence also uses Chinese-language content, and the overall presentation is noticeably different from the traditional Walking Street go-go bar.

It’s probably best thought of as an Asian-style club/hybrid nightlife venue rather than trying to squeeze it into the usual Pattaya nightclub or go-go categories.

New bars appear on Soi 7

Soi 7 has also seen some movement, with Dream Bar joining the recently opened Mystic Bar.

The two venues are next to each other and are both owned by Nick Dean.

Mystic Bar opened earlier in the summer, while Dream Bar has been getting ready to launch during September.

It is another small sign of new investment in an area that has seen plenty of changes over the past year.

Soi 21 Bar Club – one we missed

Here’s one that should probably have appeared in an earlier What’s New post.

Soi 21 Bar Club has actually been around since the middle of the year, with a July social media post announcing that the venue was open.

Information about the bar is still relatively limited, but it now has an active Facebook presence and appears to be establishing itself on Soi Chaloem Phrakiat 21.

So rather than calling it a September opening, we’re filing this one under “one we missed.”

Sandman Sports Bar closes after almost 10 years

Not every change this month is an opening.

Sandman Sports Bar on Soi 6 has closed, with the owner announcing on August 26 that he had sold the bar and that it was his final day.

After almost 10 years, the announcement marked the end of an era for one of the better-known sports bars on Soi 6.

The former owner thanked customers for their support and said he hoped to stay in contact with the people he had met through the bar.

It will be interesting to see what eventually takes over the space.

KINUJO Beach Club opens in Na Jomtien

Moving away from nightlife, there’s a rather different new addition just south of Pattaya.

KINUJO Beach Club at The Panora Estuaria in Na Jomtien began its soft opening on September 11, followed by its grand opening on September 19.

The French/Japanese-influenced venue combines a beach club and pool setting with food, wine and café offerings.

It’s another example of the continued development of the Na Jomtien coastline into a destination in its own right, rather than simply somewhere to pass through on the way to Pattaya.

Cote Maison arrives on Beach Road

A newer restaurant worth knowing about is Cote Maison Pattaya, a French-inspired restaurant and steakhouse on Beach Road.

The restaurant opened recently and has already begun attracting visitors looking for something a little different from the usual tourist-strip dining options.

It isn’t a September opening, but it’s new enough to deserve a mention in this month’s roundup.

One to watch: Onlyfuns on Soi 6

There are also rumours of more changes coming to Soi 6.

Onlyfuns has been reported as preparing to open, but at the time of writing we haven’t found enough official information to confirm that it is already operating.

For now, consider this one coming soon rather than open.

We’ll update when there is something more definite to report.

    24 years of Shark Club

And finally, something that isn’t new at all — but is worth mentioning precisely because of how long it has been around.

Shark Club Agogo on Walking Street celebrated its 24th anniversary on September 18.

The club marked the occasion with a celebration on Walking Street and described it as 24 years of creating nights and memories in Pattaya.

Twenty-four years is quite an achievement in Pattaya nightlife.

The city has always had plenty of venues that open with a lot of attention and disappear a few months or years later. Names, owners and concepts change constantly, particularly on Walking Street.

So a 24th anniversary is a useful reminder that, despite all the turnover, some venues really do stick around.

Congratulations to Shark on reaching the milestone.

Pattaya is quiet right now – but always changing

There’s no need to pretend September has been a spectacular month for Pattaya nightlife.

The low season has been noticeably quiet, and many people working in the nightlife industry have been saying the same thing.

But that’s different from saying that nothing is happening.

Walking Street has seen several new major venues appear, Soi 7 has new activity, Soi 6 continues to change and there are new restaurants and beach-club concepts appearing outside the traditional nightlife areas.

At the same time, established venues such as Shark Club continue to demonstrate that Pattaya nightlife isn’t entirely about constant turnover.

We’ll keep tracking the changes and update this page as new openings and closures become clearer.

  • Mirage 555 Agogo: New Venue Taking Shape on Walking Street

Mirage 555 Agogo: New Venue Taking Shape on Walking Street

A new venue called Mirage 555 Agogo is taking shape on Walking Street, with the former Skyfall premises currently under construction ahead of its opening.

Located next to Sea Zone and fairly close to the Beach Road end of Walking Street, the venue is already displaying its new branding. The large artwork identifies the venue as Mirage 555 Agogo, while retaining Skyfall as part of the design underneath.

Recent recruitment posts for Mirage 555 have indicated an early-September opening. A post shared on August 28 gave September 4 as the grand opening date, while another recruitment post shared on September 5 gave September 5 as the opening date. Both posts were seeking staff for the new venue.

However, a September 5 update from Bangkokboy17 indicated that Mirage 555 was still under construction. He also reported that staff auditions were being held that evening, suggesting that preparations for the venue are progressing.

It is therefore not yet clear whether the advertised opening went ahead as planned. Mirage 555 does not appear to have established official social-media profiles, and no confirmed opening announcement has been found.

For now, details about the new Agogo remain limited, including its planned entertainment and operating schedule. Further information should become available as the venue moves closer to opening.

The arrival of Mirage 555 is another change to the ever-evolving nightlife scene on Walking Street, bringing a new identity to the premises formerly occupied by Skyfall.

  • Legend Kingdom Pattaya: What We Know About the THB 10 Billion Entertainment Project

Legend Kingdom Pattaya: What We Know About the THB 10 Billion Entertainment Project

Last updated: 25 August 2026 – site active, hiring ongoing

Legend Kingdom Pattaya is the name being widely linked to the large construction site on Pattaya Tai Road, next to Duck Square Plaza. While many details remain unconfirmed, evidence suggests the project is a major entertainment development backed by Songcheng Holding.

A large construction site on Pattaya Tai (South Pattaya) Road has sparked plenty of curiosity in recent months. Located next to Duck Square Plaza and opposite Big C South Pattaya, many locals and visitors have been asking the same question:

“What is being built Pattaya Tai Road?“

While many details remain unconfirmed, multiple independent sources now point to the project being Legend Kingdom (LK), a major entertainment development backed by Chinese cultural tourism company Songcheng Holding.

Although the developer has yet to make a comprehensive public announcement aimed at international visitors, enough information has emerged to begin building a clearer picture of what may become one of Pattaya’s biggest new attractions.

    Current Status (August 2026)

Here’s what we know so far:

    • Construction is underway on Pattaya Tai Road.
    • The project has been widely identified as Legend Kingdom (LK).
    • Songcheng Holding has acknowledged a Thailand entertainment project on its official website.
    • Recruitment has begun for performers, hosts, dancers, DJs and other entertainment staff through the project’s official social media channels.

Songcheng Group’s English website lists Thailand Legend Performing Arts Kingdom among its international developments. The company describes the project as a performing arts destination with multiple themed performance zones, including the ‘Legend Show’, ‘V Show’ and ‘Water Show’

An official public opening date has not yet been widely confirmed.

As with any large-scale development, plans and timelines could change.

Where Is Legend Kingdom Being Built?

The development is located on Pattaya Tai Road, beside Duck Square Plaza and directly opposite Big C South Pattaya.

The site has been under active construction, and Google Maps listings now identify the location as Songcheng Holding Thailand, matching the location promoted through the project’s own social media channels.

Its central location means it would be easily accessible from Central Pattaya and Jomtien.

    Who Is Behind the Project?

The project is reportedly being developed by Songcheng Holding (Songcheng Group), one of China’s largest cultural tourism and live entertainment companies.

Unlike Disneyland-style parks, Songcheng’s model in China is theatre-based. Their flagship parks, such as Hangzhou, use 2,000-4,000 seat theatres running several shows a day and draw 10m+ visitors a year.

Songcheng’s own website includes Thailand Legend Performing Arts Kingdom among its international developments, describing plans for multiple themed performance venues and entertainment experiences.

    What Is Planned?

At this stage, the full scope of Legend Kingdom has not been officially announced.

However, reports suggest the development could include:

    • Large-scale live performance theatres
    • Cultural entertainment experiences
    • Themed attractions
    • Dining and retail areas
    • Landscaped public spaces

Some promotional material describes an investment of around THB 10 billion, although Ultimate Pattaya has not independently verified the final investment figure.

Likewise, promotional concept artwork circulating online should be viewed as artist impressions, not necessarily the final appearance of the completed project.

    When Will It Open?

This remains one of the biggest unanswered questions.

Some reports have suggested the project is targeting an opening in late 2026, while recruitment activity indicates preparations are progressing beyond the construction phase.

However, no widely published official opening date has yet been announced.

We’ll update this page as more information becomes available.

    Recruitment and Auditions

The project has begun recruiting operational entertainment staff via its official Facebook Page, with postings for performers, hosts, dancers, DJs and NPC/entertainment roles, rather than construction workers.

Roles are being advertised in Thai, Chinese and English. As with any high-profile Pattaya opening, be cautious of unofficial agents charging fees – all current postings point back to the Facebook Page.

    What Could Legend Kingdom Include?

While a full attraction list has not been officially announced, promotional material published by the project provides some clues about the intended direction.

    Concept illustrations show references to:

    • Pattaya Theater
    • Legend Floating Market
    • Legend Elephant Valley
    • Kingdom of Women
    • Large-scale performance venues
    • Themed streets and entertainment areas

As these details come from promotional artwork rather than a published masterplan, the final attraction lineup may differ.

Is Legend Kingdom Related to LK Hotels or Leng Kee?

No. Despite the initials LK, the project appears to have no connection to Pattaya’s well-known LK hotel group or the Leng Kee restaurant business.

The “LK” branding refers to Legend Kingdom.

Why We Think This Project Is Credible

Large developments are often announced years before they become reality, so a healthy degree of scepticism is always worthwhile.

However, several factors suggest Legend Kingdom is more than just a concept:

    • Construction is visibly underway on the site.
    • Songcheng Holding has publicly acknowledged its Thailand project.
    • Recruitment has begun for operational entertainment staff rather than construction workers.
    • Multiple independent reports have identified the same developer, location and project.

While there are still unanswered questions, the available evidence suggests this is a genuine project that is actively progressing.

    We’ll Continue Updating This Page

As more information is released—including confirmed attractions, opening dates, ticket details and official announcements—we’ll continue updating this page.
