The Lowdown
Rock Factory is one of Pattaya's best-known live music venues, and a natural first stop for rock and metal fans visiting the city.Located on Soi Buakhao near Tree Town, it has built a strong reputation for high-energy live bands covering everything from classic rock and 80s anthems to heavier acts: Metallica, Iron Maiden and Slayer feature regularly in the set-lists. Unlike much of Pattaya's nightlife, the focus here is firmly on the music rather than the bar scene or bar girls.
The venue has a loyal following among both expats and long-term visitors, and is widely regarded as the city's top live rock venue. The house bands are consistently good, the atmosphere is loud and committed, and the food is better than you'd expect — pub favourites alongside Thai dishes.
Rock Factory feels more like a genuine rock club than a typical Pattaya bar. Expect packed nights, singalongs and heavy guitar riffs from a crowd that is genuinely there for the music. It gets very loud - be prepared!
