Pattaya Shopping Guide (2026)

Shopping in Pattaya might not be a major draw in the same way as Bangkok, but there’s still a good mix of modern malls, local markets, and budget shopping spots across the city.

Whatever you’re looking for – air-conditioned malls, cheap souvenirs, or everyday essentials – this Pattaya shopping guide covers the places worth knowing about.

The Main Shopping Malls

Central Pattaya

This (along with Terminal 21, below) could really be considered the top shopping mall in Pattaya, with more than 350 shops across seven levels. It’s centrally located between Beach Road and Second Road, and about 400 metres south of Central Pattaya Road.

Central Pattaya Mall

Being bang in the middle of town, this is for many visitors the most convenient mall in the city, with a modern, clean design and a good mix of international brands, Thai retailers, and restaurants. It’s slightly upmarket but not as much as some of the malls you may have visited in Bangkok, like IconSiam or Siam Paragon.

Apart from all the shops and restaurants, you’ll also find the 10 screen SFX Cinema Pattaya Beach here, on the 6th floor. There’s also SF Strike Bowling, the Fun City amusement arcade and a children’s go-cart area on this level.

If you need to change money and don’t like to do it on the street, there are currency exchange options like SuperRich in the basement and T.T. Currency Exchange on the ground floor.

Note: you might see Central Pattaya Mall referred to as Central Festival Mall in some places online. It’s the older name for it, but the same place.

Best for: First-time visitors, central location, all-round shopping

  • Opening hours: 10am until 10pm, 7 days a week

Terminal 21 Pattaya

Located in North Pattaya on the corner of Second Road and North Pattaya Road, this is a large themed mall with each floor styled after different global cities like London, Tokyo, and San Francisco. This mall is probably the busiest in Pattaya.

Terminal 21 Pattaya - Shopping Guide

It’s more playful and visually interesting than Central Pattaya mall, and is probably more appealing to families with its more fun-focused vibe. It’s of a similar size to Central Pattaya mall and has a similar mix of retail stores and restaurants. There’s also some smaller boutique kind of stores in Terminal 21 which is quite cool and a contrast to the usual big brand stores like Levi’s, Superdry, H&M and Lacoste.

With each level having its own visual theme there are plenty of photo spots for Instagram or family photos (including the large airplane outside). There are heaps of dining options throughout Terminal 21 and the food court – called Pier 21 – is also particularly popular for inexpensive and good-quality meals.

Children will likely enjoy the Harborland area – which is a large play area on the 4th floor, and there’s also a multi-screen SF Cinema on the same level.

Best for: Families, photo opportunities, a themed shopping experience

Central Marina Outlet

This is a much quieter shopping complex within walking distance of Terminal 21 (it’s about 500 metres south along Second Road).

Central Marina Outlet - Ultimate Pattaya Shopping Guide

As the name suggests, this one has more of an outlet-style feel, with a focus on sports brands like Nike, Adidas & Puma, and casual shopping. Of course, there are plenty of places to eat here too.

Not a major destination, but it’s worth a quick look if you’re already in the area.

Best for: Sports gear & fashion, casual shopping near Terminal 21

Other Malls & Shopping Plazas

Mike Shopping Mall

This one is a slightly older, more budget-oriented mall with kind of a similar feel to Bangkok’s MBK Center. Expect the usual luggage, clothing and souvenir stores. Unlike the bigger malls, some bargaining is possible here. You may find fake North Face/Stussy/(etc) stuff on the ground floor.

It’s a lot less flashy than somewhere like Central Pattaya mall, but like MBK it kind of has a (slightly downmarket) charm of its own. It’s also home to Coco Fitness (on the 4th floor), one of Pattaya’s best gyms.

There’s a food court on the 3rd floor with inexpensive Thai food. It’s not usually that busy but the food here is actually pretty good.

Best for: lower-budget stuff and possibly some fake brand items

Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya

This is an older mall that’s quieter than most, with, to be honest, a slightly dated feel. It’s another place that runs between Second Road and Beach Road, and is about 500 metres north of the Walking Street entrance.

Royal Garden Plaza - Ultimate Pattaya Shopping Guide

The main draw here is probably the top floor, which features attractions like Ripley’s Believe It or Not! and other family-oriented entertainment. Some of it is horror-themed though – like “Scream in the Dark” and “Horror Hospital” – and you may see staff walking around the level made up in zombie or “undead” type make-up, so be prepared. It could be scary for some younger children.

There is also Moonwhale: a rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant with great views out over the bay. It’s quite a stylish contrast to the mall below and is especially worth visiting around sunset.

Best for: Attractions more than shopping

The Avenue Pattaya

A smaller, less busy mall that’s not really a destination on its own. It’s worth checking out if you’re passing by, with shops, a few restaurants, a decent food court, Fitness7 (a 24 hour gym), and the Major Cineplex Cinema.

Pattaya Avenue Mall at night - Ultimate Pattaya Shopping Guide

It seems to pick up in the evening when the restaurants start to fill and there’s one of those converted van cocktail bars out front that looks quite cool lit up at night.

Best for: food and drinks after dark

Mike Plaza

A short indoor corridor connecting Beach Road and Second Road. Not to be confused with Mike Shopping Mall (which has the same logo). This one is at the Walking Street end of Beach Road.

Mike Plaza Pattaya

Mostly small stalls selling cheap clothing, sunglasses, and souvenirs. It’s quick to walk through, but not somewhere you’d go out of your way for. Probably best for if you need to buy a few things but can’t be bothered wandering around one of the big malls.

Markets & Budget Shopping

Pattaya Night Bazaar

One of the most popular places in central Pattaya for cheap souvenirs and casual shopping. You can expect to find T-shirts & tourist gear, fake branded items, bags, shoes, and accessories.

Pattaya Night Bazaar

The Night Bazaar is located on Pattaya Second Road, just behind Central Pattaya mall. It’s open-fronted so it’s a lot hotter than the malls (with fans for cooling rather than full air-conditioning), and can get busy due to its central location and narrow walkways.

Despite the name, it’s open during the day as well. There are a couple of food places at the back. If you’re in Pattaya for more than a day or two you’ll likely end up here at some point.

Best for: Cheap souvenirs and stuff you don’t really need

Soi Buakhao Market

This one is more of a local-style market located at the southern end of Soi Buakhao. It’s less of a tourist attraction and more of an everyday market for locals. This is somewhere you’ll find:

  • Very cheap Thai food
  • Fresh fruit
  • Low-cost clothing and household items
  • Beauty products and services for the ladies

It’s covered but open-air, and generally runs daily from early morning until around sunset. You may find some older websites saying it’s only open on Tuesdays and Fridays, but it’s now open most days, although some vendors may only operate on certain days. It gets pretty hot, as you might imagine.

Best for: An authentic local experience and low prices

Thepprasit Night Market

A popular night market, located on the way over to Jomtien, slightly outside the main tourist areas on Thepprasit Road. It’s typically open Friday to Sunday evenings – hours can vary slightly but generally 5pm until about 10pm or so. This is a proper local-style market with a good mix of:

  • Street food (a major highlight)
  • Cheap clothing & accessories
  • Souvenirs and random finds

It’s bigger and more authentic than central spots like the Pattaya Night Bazaar, but also a bit less convenient to get to. For this reason, a lot of shorter term visitors seem to give it a miss. If you have the time and enjoy exploring night markets, it’s worth making the effort to visit this one.

Expect a lively atmosphere, especially later in the evenings, with a strong focus on food and local shoppers rather than just tourists.

Best for: Authentic Thai night market atmosphere, street food, local experience

Electronics & Specialty Shopping

Tukcom Pattaya

Pattaya’s main electronics mall and the best place in the city for tech-related items. It’s located on South Pattaya Road near the junction with Soi Buakhao, and it’s only about 200 metres from Buakhao Market (see above).

It’s quite easy to miss the entrance – it’s between the Starbucks and the McDonalds. Tukcom is where you’ll find:

  • Phone accessories and repairs
  • Computer parts and laptops
  • Cables, chargers, and niche electronics

The lower floors are the busiest, while upper levels are quieter and feel a bit outdated. If you’re after something related to smartphones, computers, action cameras & the like, and you can’t find it in the major malls, this is your best bet.

Be cautious buying smartphones, it’s not unheard of for some not to be the genuine article.

Tip: Check prices and quality carefully, as not everything is official.

Supermarkets & Everyday Shopping

For groceries, snacks, household items and everyday essentials. Prices are generally good, although you can sometimes find cheaper options elsewhere. But most longer term visitors prefer the convenience of using places like Big C and Lotus’s.

Big C

A large budget-friendly hypermarket similar to something like Walmart Supercenter or Target in the US. It’s basically a one-stop-shop where you get most of the stuff you need in one place. There’s a huge Big C Extra on Pattaya Central Road just past Third Road.

Lotus’s

A similar large hypermarket to Big C, with perhaps a slightly more modern look. Prices are about the same – some things will be cheaper and some will be more expensive, just like back home. There’s a large one in Pattaya North near Terminal 21 and another on Thepprasit Road, not far from the Night Market.

Villa Market

This one is styled as an international supermarket specialising in imported goods and western products. Obviously you’re going to pay more for imported food but it’s a popular store with expats. There’s one on Second Road at The Avenue Mall.

Is shopping in Pattaya cheap?
It depends what you’re buying. Local markets and street stalls can be very cheap, while shopping malls are closer to international pricing.

Where is the best place to buy souvenirs?
Places like Pattaya Night Bazaar and Mike Shopping Mall are probably the most convenient for cheap souvenirs and gifts.

Yes – especially in markets and lower-end malls. If you’re looking for genuine branded products, stick to major malls like Central Pattaya or Terminal 21.

Final Thoughts

Pattaya isn’t really about luxury shopping, but for convenience, variety, and the occasional bargain, it does the job surprisingly well.
